Cagrilintide

Cagrilintide is a long-acting synthetic analog of the endogenous peptide hormone amylin (islet amyloid polypeptide, IAPP). This 37-amino acid peptide has been engineered with specific modifications to enhance stability and prolong its half-life compared to native amylin. Cagrilintide acts as an amylin receptor agonist, binding to amylin receptors which are complexes of the calcitonin receptor with receptor activity-modifying proteins (RAMPs).
